This refresher course has been discontinued. Please see the exciting new refresher course at Scuba Frisco. PADI ReActivate is now for all divers.
Haven’t been scuba diving lately? Feeling a bit rusty? The Scuba Refresher program is just what you need to brush up on your knowledge and skills. A Scuba Frisco Instructor or Divemaster will get you in the water having fun and feeling comfortable again. It’s quick and easy, and a good way to prepare for your next scuba course or get ready for adventure on a diving vacation.
Any certified diver, regardless of certifying agency, who needs a refresher, pre-travel update, pre-assessment for a continuing education course or an upgrade from Junior diver can complete a Scuba Refresher.
*Your certification does not expire. Participation in Scuba Refresher is not mandatory, but recommended as an easy way to refresh your foundation scuba safety knowledge and skills if you haven’t been diving in a while.
Using the PADI Scuba Tune-up Workbook, you’ll immerse yourself in dive scenarios and make decisions that test your understanding of important dive safety concepts, dive planning essentials and problem management. Move through the workbook at your own pace.
You’ll go over important dive safety concepts, dive planning essentials and problem management. Your Instructor or Divemaster will have you practice putting your gear together and doing a predive safety check with your buddy. In the water, you’ll review all the basic scuba skills with a focus on good buoyancy control.
Important Medical Information
All student divers are required to complete the PADI/RSTC Medical Statement Participant Record form. If you can answer "YES" to one or more of the questions in the Divers Medical Questionnaire section of this form, then you are required to obtain a physician's release, without conditions or restrictions, before participating in any in-water component of the course. Please read the complete details and download the form here.
If you have a copy of this form signed by a physician within 12 months prior to the expected completion date of your course, and your medical history has not changed, then you may provide a copy of it to your instructor. Otherwise, you will need to complete a new form.
